Built on Experience, Driven by Growth
Over three decades of building essential infrastructure and businesses across the Western United States.
How We Got Here
Ceres Enterprises Inc was established to serve as the central development and investment arm of a growing portfolio of businesses across California. The company focuses on acquiring high-potential properties and transforming them into successful, income-generating assets.
Founded by Makhan Singh in 1990, the business began with a single gas station and 7-Eleven store in Seattle, Washington. Over the following years, the operation grew steadily as additional locations were acquired and optimized.
In 2004, the focus shifted to California — a strategic move that opened the door to the state's immense commercial infrastructure opportunities. Today, the group spans truck stops, real estate, and agriculture across multiple California markets.

"Mike Singh" — Founder & Owner, Ceres Enterprises Inc
Makhan Singh, widely known as Mike Singh, is the founder and driving force behind Ceres Enterprises Inc and its affiliated companies. With over three decades of experience in fuel retail, real estate, and agriculture, he has built one of California's most diversified privately held infrastructure portfolios.
Mike began his entrepreneurial journey in 1990, operating gas stations and 7-Eleven stores in Seattle, Washington. His hands-on approach to operations gave him a deep understanding of the fuel retail and convenience store industry — knowledge that has proven invaluable as the business scaled.
In 2004, Mike expanded into California, where he saw tremendous opportunity in commercial property development, truck stop operations, and agricultural land. Today, he oversees a portfolio that spans multiple industries and continues to grow.
Current Portfolio Includes:
- Truck stops and fuel retail operations
- Commercial and residential real estate
- Agricultural land and almond farming

Our Core Values
Long-Term Thinking
We build for decades, not quarters. Every investment, development, and operational decision is made with long-term value creation in mind.
Community Service

Operational Excellence
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency — in construction, in operations, and in how we treat our partners.
Sustainable Growth
We grow deliberately, ensuring each new development and acquisition strengthens the overall portfolio rather than stretching it thin.
California First
We are deeply committed to California — its communities, its economy, and its future — with all current operations based entirely within the state.
Integrity
Our business relationships — with tenants, partners, suppliers, and employees — are built on trust, transparency, and keeping our commitments.
